QV Stays Cosy in the Viaduct

Nice place, terrible key pick up and parking experience. Positive: The apartment itself was absolutely lovely, but the process of checking in and out was painful! The contact person responded that they were 50% sure on everything..and then never got back to me. The car parking instructions were complicated, as were the key pick up and drop off instructions. Even though it was all complicated, I liked the apartment a lot and wanted to stay another night and noone got back to me about that either. So I left and I'm guessing they lost out on easy money. Negative: You needed a fob to park, but couldn't get in or out without keys, which were at a different location from pick up and you needed to leave the keys in the apartment at the end, trapping you in the car park or requiring you to take your car out and then run back up to the apartment. The instructions for the parking are complicated too and I had to be rescued from another parking spot because I was trapped inside. The man onsite was kind and sympathetic but the process of getting in and out and the organisation was dreadful. It also didn't smell great when I first entered the apartment. I'm not sure if the drainage in the bathroom isn't the best. Perhaps leaving/using some air freshener would have been good.

Will definitely recommend to others Positive: Fabulous location, with the Viaduct area just around the corner. Well set up apartment, clean and ample room for 2 people. Very quiet, with no road noise or loud neighbours. Negative: Too much light coming into the bedroom at night.

Great comfortable apartment in the heart of city but peaceful too.

Room was exactly what we paid for, location was wonderful, but this was outshadowed by a huge lack in clear information, Positive: Proximity to the city centre Negative: Property management was horrible, we were provided incorrect information on the guest portal for accessing our property which meant an hour circling the block and phone calls to staff who were unsure of what to do. This is our second stay with these property managers, and we had a similar experience the first time with a different property of theirs in Auckland.

Great apartment in a lovely central location. Positive: A great apartment in a central location on a quiet courtyard with a lovely sunny balcony, near food, shopping, swimming, ferry terminal, tour boats, etc. Highly recommended. Communications with management were easy, quick and informative. Negative: When keys are left in the lockbox for off-hours arrival, please do tell people that the smaller black tag is the "keycard" that opens the building outer door by waving it over the door keypads. It took us an anxious few minutes before we figured that out and could get in. Otherwise the process was smooth.
