QV Stays 2 Bedroom Waterfront Getaway 2 Bed 2 Bath

This property was an absolute disaster. Positive: I liked the location and view from the rental property. Negative: Everything else about this property was unacceptable. We repeatedly ran out of hot water, forcing us to stagger our showers and wait approximately 30 minutes between them just to avoid taking a cold shower. There was also a persistent sewage odor throughout the unit that made it unpleasant to be inside. The maintenance issues were endless. Several lights flickered constantly, the master bathroom had two leaking faucets, and there was mold in both bathrooms (with the master bathroom being particularly bad). The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, the pillows were completely worn out and flat, and the furniture was old, stained, and visibly worn. The curtains were falling off their hooks in multiple rooms, and there were numerous other signs of deferred maintenance and neglect throughout the unit. This property is badly in need of a complete renovation. It feels neglected, outdated, and poorly maintained. Frankly, it should not be rented in its current condition. The only thing that gave me any comfort was that the carpets were dark-colored, because based on the overall condition of the unit, I don't even want to imagine how dirty they actually are. I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that no property is perfect. However, this was by far one of the worst vacation rentals I have ever stayed in. We paid a premium expecting a comfortable place to relax, but instead spent our vacation dealing with basic maintenance failures and an uncomfortable living environment. In all honesty, it felt like we should have been compensated for staying here...not the other way around! I cannot recommend this property to anyone until considering the extensive maintenance issues, worn furnishings, plumbing, hot water problems, mold and mildew. This unit needs to be brought up to a standard that is appropriate for paying guests!!!!

Un emplacement très pratique et un appartement propre Positive: C’est propre, bien placé pour visiter Auckland, les équipements étaient bien pensé pour un séjour. Negative: Il a fallu négocier pour avoir une boîte à clefs proche de notre appartement. Ils nous ont informé de l’emplacement de la boîte à clefs très peu de temps avant notre arrivée alors qu’on avait déjà réservé nos transports et on aurait dû faire 10 min à pied, avec les valises et les enfants. Ils ont accepté de changer cet emplacement mais il a fallu insister…

Positive: Fantastic location, the apartment was roomy with great facilities, and the booking team were helpful in securing a car park for our stay.
